I strongly dislike meter maids. They walk around with this sense of entitlement; and sometimes they are just plain rude! Today, I parked at a meter that happened to be out of order. Lucky me. There was a meter maid next to my car, and she watched me put two quarters into the meter and then turn and say-It's out of order!

So, she came over and said "you have 1 free hour". Then, as I walk off, she says "wait! Prove to me this is out of order. Put another quarter in it."

For those of you that don't live in Boston, quarters are like gold. You can never have enough quarters on you since most meters only take quarters.

This did not set well with me, especially when I had planned on only using my meter for 5 minutes yet I ended up paying for at least 45.

Whatever, that's my gripe for the day.
